After having sung with many artists
as famous as Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, Claude François, Michel Berger,
France Gall, Renaud, Julien Clerc, Gilbert Montagné, Alain Souchon, Michel
Sardou, Véronique Sanson and Johnny Halliday just to name a few, and
on several records of their own (the French will probably remember their hit
singles "Cocotiers" and "Musique Magique"), the Costas have carried out a few
incursions in the area of record production. It is here again a family matter
since it is by taking over from Walt Disney Company that they produced their
daughter and niece Karine Costa's album.
Indeed, she sang the French version of Aladdin's theme song "Ce Rêve Bleu"
(originally: "A Whole New World") with Daniel Lévi. She went on with
this adventure with a solo album "Seventeen" of which two singles were released:
"Lui" ("You" in its English version) and "She's leaving home" (originally from
The Beatles). She is now going on with her career on the fringe of spotlights.
She is, in particular, the voice of all Chérie FM jingles.
